Jo' Lethermon
Jo Lethermon is a doctoral prepared Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife (DNP, WHNP-BC, CNM). She is a graduate from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She considers birth work a “calling” and truly enjoys all aspects of preventative health care, family planning, and reproductive wellness across the lifespan. In practice, she strives to create a safe space for ethnically, culturally, and gender diverse individuals seeking care and she believes that teaching individuals about their bodies gives them the tools that they need to make informed decisions about their care. She currently practices primarily at Lourdes Physician Group Midwifery Clinic in Lafayette, LA. She serves her community on the following boards: Friends of the Birth Center of Baton Rouge Board of Directors, The Louisiana Leadership Institute Advisory Board, The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors; and she recently acquired directorship of The Miss Baton Rouge Pageant. She has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., The National Black Midwives Association (NBMA), The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), and The American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM). In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, live music, spending time with God, her husband Michael, and close family.
