Robin has worked with birthing families for 44 years. Starting as a labor and delivery RN, she completed her midwifery certification at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing and her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at Philadelphia University. Over the last 20 years as a Certified Nurse Midwife, she has worked in a variety of settings, coming from a combined physician/midwife hospital practice based in South Florida for the past 10 years. She relocated to Baton Rouge to be with her three grandchildren, the youngest of which was born at the Birth Center Baton Rouge. She loves working with women, educating, and promoting evidence-based care, and shared decision making. She is an advocate of the birth center based midwifery care and is passionate about supporting informed, safe, low-intervention care.
